Mallorca to Tenerife

For sure, you will find your account by participating in this cruise that will take you from Palma de Mallorca to Tenerife, via Malaga.
Dates
13.10 - 20.10.2018: Palma de Mallorca -> Malaga - stopovers planned in Ibiza and Alicante (around 450 miles)
20.10 - 03.11.2018: Malaga -> Las Galletas (Tenerife) - possibly a planned stopover - passage through the Strait of Gibraltar (around 750 miles)
During our stopover in Malaga, a change of crew is possible, for those who wish to participate only in the first or the last two weeks.
Discussed subjects
During the cruise, we will discuss the following topics:
- Safety at sea
- Preparation for offshore navigation
- Navigate in heavy weather
- Weather (obtain weather files, interpret available data (files, barometer, cloudiness)
and make the right decisions)
- Managing shifts and life on board in general
- Astronomical navigation using a sextant and classic navigation (two logbooks will be kept)
- Introduction to electronic instruments (charts, satellite reception, AIS if available, radar if available, routing)
- Use of the VHF
- Sea food
Of course, other themes can be tackled according to the moods and interests of the crew.
Boat
We will have the pleasure of sailing on a Sun Odyssey 519 from 2018 (it will have sailed one season) with 5 cabins and 3 bathrooms.
The maximum number of team members is set at 10.

Week 1: CHF 600 / person (full - on waiting list)
Weeks 2 and 3: CHF 900 / person (full - on waiting list)
+ approx. EUR 150 / week / person for the on-board cash register
Palma de Mallorca, Malaga and Tenerife are all three cities easily accessible by plane (easyjet with direct flights for example) for very attractive prices.
Cruise monitoring
The cruise can be followed live on passion-sailing by your relatives and friends.
Insurance
Each participant is himself responsible for his insurance. It is advisable to have insurance with Europe cover (including the Canaries) with repatriation included (type ETI booklet from TCS for example).
